1080

Design Brief

Select a recognizable event from history (9/11, sinking of the Titanic, Apollo 11, conquest of Everest, invention of the printing press, etc.) and represent it in a triptych. The three parts must be either equal in size, be in a 1:2:1 ratio (two half gates), or exhibit a extreme and mean ratio from the two smallest parts to the one larger.

The final submission may be three dimensional (i.e. pyramid). The three parts must work together as a family, yet tell the story in either different ways or sequentially.

One panel must be entirely typographic, one panel must be composed of related imagery and typography, and one panel must be composed of found iconography from the event/period.

All three panels must include 30 to 100 words of text material with subheads that speaks to the event.
